How to Write a Good Essay
How to Write a Good EssayA young lady asked me how to write a good essay, and her question was: 'I have this great idea for an essay and I'm not sure if it's good or not. Is there anything you can recommend?' I told her there were certain basic rules that you should follow. If you follow these rules, you will be able to write a good essay. This is how I became the best essay writer in the world. The young lady went on to say that she had read a lot of books and listened to a lot of lectures, but she didn't know how to go about putting all of this together. I told her to listen to the lectures. She should go ahead and buy a few books. She should spend some time looking at the tips. By following these guidelines, you will be able to produce a good essay. The first basic guideline for writing a good essay is to always start with a topic that interests you. While most people hate to start writing essays, they do need to be able to write on topics that they are interested in. Do some resear ch and see what your hobbies and interests are. You should then be able to write a decent essay on these subjects. The next guideline is to make sure that the student is enthusiastic. Some students might become a little annoyed by the process, and they might become frustrated by not being able to do well. You don't want this to happen to you. When writing, try to be the best student you can be. The student who writes the best essay is the one who is having the most fun.The next basic guideline for writing a good essay is to keep notes. Sometimes when you are finished with an assignment, you will be tempted to just throw away the papers you have marked up and finish the assignment without any notes. This is not the best way to go about it. Remember, your notes are a great way to come back to a topic later, so keep them. The third basic guideline for writing a good essay is to keep your outline to no more than two pages. It is important to keep your ideas organized so that you don't for get them. Don't worry about changing your outline as you go along. Remember, your outline is for your reference. The fourth basic guideline for writing a good essay is to answer the reader's questions. Most students, even those who love writing, forget to answer the reader's questions. You must answer the reader's questions, or your essay will suffer. Finally, the fifth guideline is to use eye-catching words, and keep your sentences to two to three sentences. Remember, the shorter the better. You can get away with a few sentences, but, as I mentioned earlier, the shortest sentences will actually give you the best look.
